After a long renovation and pandemic-related delay, the Deutsche Börse Visitors Center overlooking the trading floor will be able to welcome visitors again from 1 July 2022.
28 June 2022. Frankfurt (Börse Frankfurt). The new Deutsche Börse Visitors Center in the historic stock exchange building of the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry will open its doors to visitors from 1 July 2022. The aim is to give the public an understanding of stock market trading and stock culture. Under the motto "See. Understand. Trade." the Deutsche Börse Visitors Center offers visitors insights into the world of the capital market in a multimedia exhibition.
"The large trading hall in the heart of Frankfurt is a flagship and the last stock exchange trading hall of its kind in Europe. With the visitor center, we are creating a new contact point for the general public, where the stock exchange can be understood and experienced. This is particularly important to us in terms of financial education for young people. After all, a functioning capital market is the basis for meeting the challenges of the future - from the transformation of our economy towards sustainability and digitalization to retirement provision," said Eric Leupold, Head of Cash Market at Deutsche Börse.
The exhibition comprises 20 interactive stations and provides insights into over 400 years of stock market history. Among other things, visitors learn about the course of a trading transaction and can simulate share purchases and sales over historical periods. In the "Who will become a shareholder?" quiz, interested visitors can test their knowledge of the stock market. The Visitor Guide app serves as an interactive audio guide when visiting the exhibition. It offers comprehensive knowledge about the stock market and is available free of charge in the app stores.
