New ETF: Euro Stoxx 50 with a best-in-class approach

iShares provides access to a diversified portfolio of the 50 largest companies in the Eurozone with ESG filters.
 

28 July 2023. FRANKFURT (Börse Frankfurt). Since Friday, a new exchange-traded fund issued by iShares has been tradable on Xetra and via Börse Frankfurt.

The iShares EURO STOXX 50 ESG UCITS ETF enables sustainability-minded investors to invest in a diversified portfolio of the 50 largest companies in the Eurozone across different industries and markets. The weighting of a company is limited to 10 per cent.

A best-in-class approach is used to identify companies that have a better sustainability profile than comparable companies in the same sector.

Companies that violate the principles of the UN Global Compact as well as those involved in business activities such as weapons, thermal coal and tobacco or in ESG controversies are excluded.

The product offering in Deutsche Börse's XTF segment currently comprises a total of 2,058 ETFs. With this selection and an average monthly trading volume of around €16 billion, Xetra is the leading trading venue for ETFs in Europe.
