Each week, we survey some 300 active investors and analyze their estimations on the basis of a behavioral finance approach. Moreover, we examine the IPO sentiment on a quarterly basis.
DAX Sentiment
28 July. The bull/bear index has barely changed, as the majority of actors with a medium-term approach continue to wait and see – as long as the broad DAX consolidation with its upper edge at 6,320/40 points is finally forced open. The only remaining question is where this impetus is supposed to come from if everybody just continues waiting for things that will eventually (not) come.
TecDAX Sentiment
28 July. The TecDAX participants are showing solid optimism. However, once again, the improving sentiment is primarily attributable to private investors’ renewed confidence. They scent the opportunity of earning follow-up TecDAX profits, as they did two weeks before.
IPO Sentiment
29 April. Declining volatility and rising equity prices might loosen up the rigidity at the primary market. The sentiment among market participants, particularly among banks and investors, is improving again, only the decreasing underpricing slows the thawing down.
