Trading Hours and Trading Calendar

Xetra

• Trading on Xetra takes place Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CET.
• The opening auction takes place from 8:50 am; the closing auction from 5:30 pm. Further information can be found in the Xetra auction schedule.

Specialists at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange

Trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange takes place from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. CET. The times for bonds are different (8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.).  

• Intermediary-based trading according to the specialist model with equities, funds and products of the ETP family takes place from 8:00 to 22:00.
• On-exchange trading in most certificates, structured products and warrants is offered from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm.
• For shares with a daily price fixing, the auction takes place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
• For variable bonds traded on the regulated market and on the Open Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, trading hours are from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The single price fixing for all bonds begins at 11 am.

Please note that trading on Xetra and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange will take place on the following public holidays in the remainder of 2024 and in 2025

• Day of German Unity (October 3, 2024)
• Ascension Day (May 29, 2025)
• Whit Monday (June 9, 2025)
• Corpus Christi (June 19, 2025)
• Day of German Unity (October 3, 2025)

Trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in shares and exchange-traded products ends at 20:00 CET on public holidays (Germany and Hesse) on which trading takes place according to the FWB trading calendar. In deviation from this, structured products are traded until 22:00 CET.

Trading hours at the end of the year

The last trading day of the year will take place on Monday, December 30, 2024, with an early close at 2 pm.
