Net present value (NPV)

Discounted value of future payments.

The net present value is referred to as the value that future payments have today.


The present value is calculated by determining that the costs incurred in the future payments on the present value of discounted and added up. In addition to the return of a bond, the NPV is an important indicator to analyze bonds.
