FWB Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse (the Frankfurt Stock Exchange) calculates 18 sector indices for the companies listed in Prime Standard: Automobile; Banks; Basic Resources; Chemicals; Construction; Consumer; Financial Services; Food & Beverages; Industrial; Insurance; Media; Pharma & Healthcare; Retail; Software; Technology; Telecommunication; Transportation & Logistics; Utilities.

Allocation to a sector index occurs on the basis of the categorisation into 62 industry groups. The base date for the index is 31 December 1987 = 100 points.
